I don’t think killing Hamas is the answer. Hamas is resisting occupation - which it has the right to do. Unfortunately, it’s not always very strategic in its methods…

The solution isn’t to silence the resistance, it’s to end Israeli transgressions and make just amends.

As long as the occupation is violent, we can expect the reactions to it to be violent.

I wish you would have given this posting a bit more thought…

Nadeem I have no problem with resistance, however to label Hamas simply a resistance organization isnt accurate at all. The evil of Hamas strongly out weights any possible good. The abuse of their own people is number one of those evils. So lets not credit Hamas as some kind of freedom fighter while turning a blind eye to their transgressions.

I’m far from a supporter of Hamas. In fact, I don’t like them at all. However, as it applies to this author’s blog posting - it’s transgressions against its own people are besides the point.

The author says that Hamas should be killed for injuring 40 IDF soldiers of illegal occupation - and because doing so will bring further pain upon Palestinians living in Gaza.

That’s unfair - because Hamas has the absolute right to resist, especially when it targets soldiers and not civilians.

No one is painting Hamas with a pure brush here - it’s obviously a flawed organization. But what you’re doing is blaming a victim for his violent reaction to a crime - which seems highly unfair. The initial crime (of occupation in this case) is what is the problem. If it weren’t for Israel’s brutal policies - Hamas would not have a mandate to exist.

And if Hamas can’t attack civilians - or occupation soldiers - how shall it resist? It’s easy to scold a victim for his/her violent reaction to a crime when your not in that person’s shoes.

Yes - Hamas could be more strategic. But it clearly isn’t the transgressor in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

lol well first of all the author of that post and this site is me. Secondly, the comment of killing hamas is very tongue and cheek as are most statements here. Thats how it goes on my site. Lastly it has nothing to do with attacking israel, i made the comment because i simply dont like hamas.

Yes I realized you’re the author of this site after posting that - my apologies, I’m new here. In any case, “tongue and cheek” or not I still think it was rather baseless, rash, and unfunny in the way that it was presented.

Again - I’m new here… but from what I can tell from this post, the one about the Egyptian actor who’s under investiation for acting with an Israeli, and other posts - you tend to make a lot of comments that aren’t very well thought out - or at least you don’t present them that way.

There’s intelligent humor - and then there’s this. I’m disappointed.

    Miss Carnivorous Says:

Any revolutionary movement is run by men who are resentful that they do not have power. They crave power as much as the next Alpha male. A revolutionary group is just a government group in microcosm. They are no different than Bush, they just operate on a smaller scale. If The Palestinians are left to the fundamentalist rule of Hamas, they will be just as oppressed as they are under the Israelis, if not more.

Again, the primary problem for Muslims is other Muslims. Nadeem is trying to control your behavior Sho. Sadly typical. You should write posts that follow her party line, dammit, what’s wrong with you? You just got to get your mind right is all!

    Nadeem Says:

First of all, “Nadeem” is not a woman’s name.

Secondly, you’re the first feminist-anarchist-anti-Islamist I’ve ever had the great displeasure of encountering.

Thirdly, your just wrong. Not all revolutionary movements are “run by men who are resentful that they do not have power.” The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not about who has “power” - it’s about human rights. Palestinians aren’t fighting for the right to rule Israelis - they’re resisting oppression and fighting for the right to live as equals.

Fourth - You’re comment about Hamas leaves me to believe that you think Palestinians are better off under Israeli occupation than a Hamas government. Who are you to make that decision for them?

It’s your logic (if you want to call it that) that’s flawed… not mine.
