Interesting. I think I’ll believe it when Al Qaeda actually starts launching attacks in Iran, though. Considering how many AQ camps are currently in Iran, I think it’s unlikely.
July 9th, 2007 at 8:40 amWell, I think that both al-Queda and Iran are main sources of terror in the region. Both of them have a vision for the middle east based on a mere religous identity. For Al-Queda, it is out of ignorance. Yet for Iran, the vision stems out of Persian nationalistic interets. The only way for Iran to become a part of the middle east of which it has been shut out for the last 500 years because of Ottomanian empire and the growing Arab nationalistic feelings in the 20th century, is to highlight a sunni shiite religous discourse. That in turn allows it to put itself forward as the vanguard of shiite and shiisim.
There is no civil war in Iraq between sunis and shiites. That is totally untrue.
The war is going onbetween secular and moderate islamist forces and IRANIAN SHIITE INVADERS. It is well documented, well resourced and well acknowledged that Iran took advantage of the American invasion to push into Iraq one million Arabic speaking Iranians who had been expelled from Iraq in seventie for persian lineage and loyality. It those that are carrying out ethnic cleansing of the secular professional Iraqi middle clas and caused thje dispersion of “5″ million Iraqi in the south where they use know Persian in governmanetal organizations
The only way to save Iraq at the present, is a U.S devastating thourough strike to Iran that would purge the Arab world of that malignant enemy for good
July 10th, 2007 at 8:26 amIt’s a fucked up situation all right and detracts from the real Muslim problem of getting their act together and joining the modern world. Al Qaeda should be happy with the Shia as they practice a more Wahhabi type, intolerant form of Islam than many secular Sunnis. Al Qaeda should be kicking some Jordainian ass.
